About The Artist

Hi, I'm  Ayan, an interdisciplinary artist based in Toronto, Canada focused on painting and sustainable textile craft and more recently, installation and mural work. 

I studied Fine Art, Fashion Design and Material Arts and Design and held roles in Fashion and Film industries before coming back to Painting and Art.  I aim to create a new body of work informed by traditional techniques, new media and my experiences and perspectives as an artist living in a global city.

Behind the Work

As an artist, my mission is to capture and transform the overlooked moments and spaces of daily life into works of beauty and contemplation. Guided by values of authenticity, environmental sustainability, and the relentless pursuit of improvement, I aim to create art that resonates deeply on an emotional level and encourages a closer examination of our surroundings. Through my paintings, textiles, and fashion, I strive to bring attention to the unnoticed, to rescue and reimagine the abandoned, and to foster a sense of peace and curiosity in those who engage with my work. My goal is to live a life of artistic freedom and integrity, continuously growing in my craft, teaching, and contributing meaningfully to the art community.
